ANYONE WHO UNDERSTANDS ME
If anyone understands me,
understands my heart as I do,
I will give him my secret treasures;
the dust that deposits in my heart;
the tear-drops, tender and pure;
the dew-drops crystallized in the clear night.
How I long to meet him
who will understand me as I do!
Could I ever see him far out in dreams?
Love may burn like
a perfumed jade in flames.
But my heart, dimmed and smudged,
knows not what love is.
